A barn swallow built this nest under the roof of my front porch - you can see the white-painted plant hanger hook which anchors the nest poking through the base. Having watched birds here since 2007, I wondered why Barn Swallows decided to nest here this year for the first time, but then remembered that 3 barns have been torn down between here and New Harmony just this year.
